DTV transition–Do I need to take any action?

My situation:

*I have a “picture tube” TV which is about ten years old.

*I have analog cable, not digital cable. I receive about fifty channels and do not want to upgrade to digital cable yet.

Considering this, do I have to do anything to prepare for this “transition” (get digital cable or get a converter box for my older TV)? I know they say that if you have cable you don’t have to do anything, but I’ve heard more talk about older TVs not being able to get the digital signal. They’ve been talking about those TVs in situations where people use antennae, but I don’t know whether they also mean that just the kind of TV you have (no matter whether or not you have cable) will prohibit your reception of the digital signal.

An AKG Perception 200 was used for male vocals. A MXL 991 small condenser mic was used for acoustic guitar. Audio and video were recorded separately. The mics are connected to a Presonus Digimax LT mic pre amp. The pre amp is connected to the Digidesign Digi 002R via ADAT. Used Pro Tools LE 7.4 under Mac OS 10.4. Video was recorded with a Sony Camcorder. Audio and video were then synced together using Windows Movie Maker.

The Age of The Earth, Hovind’s first creation seminar, will be debunked by myself, hopefully with the help of some other youtube users. Expect output of around one video every month or so, the actual production rate may be more or less depending on what else I have going on.
