Should I Re-scan My Plasma HDTV?

Now that the digital transition has taken place,I was wondering if it would be a good idea to re-scan my Samsung 63″ plasma TV? I have cable from the local cable company (Comcast) with the cable going directly into the TV so it can pick up some of the unscrambled digital channels.Would doing this pick up any new digital channels?
