I’ve borrowed a camcorder and red 1394 cable, but the small end only connects to either the camcorder or the laptop–the larger, flat end looks like a USB plug but does not fit the port. What goes where?!

I’m selling my laptop and decided to take quite a few photos and videos so that the buyer is fully informed about what they are buying, what it looks like, demos etc. Though what would be the best photo uploading site for the photos and what would be the best video uploading site for the videos.
