Do you think that a movie based on a video game will ever be a box-office success?

And I don’t just mean making a profit. I mean 1 of the top 10 movies ever and a great critical success. (Especially Ebert. The guy seems to hate all things video games. If he ever gave a good review to a movie based on a game I’d have a conniption.) I’m hopeful since I have so many fond video game memories but at the same time I’m not holding my breath. :-/

my VCR doesn’t work anymore, and yes, I’ve re-set the channels several times now. I get nothing but snow and wavy lines. Anyone else getting this? Cleaning the heads doesn’t help either.
