Need help with getting videos off of Sony camcorder and onto computer?

Okay, I have a Sony Webbie camcorder, and the videos are saved as MPEG4’s. In order to use them in windows movie maker, on my windows, the videos have to be in .wmv format. I can’t find an easy to use, free, downloadable converter, and my videos aren’t cooperating with me. What should I do?? Any free converters would be helpful, along with tips. Thanks!!!
