What is the best video editing software?

I am getting a video camera soon and my friends and I are wanting to make a Youtube reality show, sort of like Laguna Beach or something. I was wondering what would be the best video editing software to do the stuf the tv shows do. Like they have music, small clips back to back, cool effects, things like that.
Also, what program would blur out faces?

    Hey,

    As an Anime music Video Director, i recommend:

    Sony Vegas
    Windows Movie Maker
    iMovie

    With iMovie, you can’t really “edit”, so i would get Sony Vegas
