Digital Painting Tutorial : Hanagumori – Part5

March 14, 2010 by: nickadmin

Tutorial here : dianae.deviantart.com Hello people! This is the 5th part of the video screen capture I’ve done while painting “Hanagumori” : dianae.deviantart.com There are 8 parts total. Part 1 fr.youtube.com Part 2 fr.youtube.com Part 3 fr.youtube.com Part 4 fr.youtube.com Part 6 fr.youtube.com Part 7 fr.youtube.com Part 8 fr.youtube.com This painting has been done in order to write a digital painting tutorial explaining the techniques I’m using to paint. This is just meant to be informative. Tools used : Photoshop CS3 (but older versions can be used too, of course) and a wacom intuos 3A4 graphics tablet. Total painting time : approximately 12 hours, but I’ve changed the speed of the video (1500%). I’ve not put music so you can listen to your favourite music while watching it. I might write and record a specific soundtrack later if you feel that it really needs music, but this is just an informative video, not something artsy at all. I hope that it can be useful, if you have any question, you can leave them in the comments, I’ll try to reply the best I can. Sorry for my bad english… I hope you’ll understand though :)

Yes, I just said it was a talent.. :/

  2. Androlola says:

@xbumrushx it is atalent, but you can improve yourself, if you have this talent.

  3. xbumrushx says:

What are you still learning? Oh, stop being humble. Art IS a talent. To just be able to create something that speaks to others is a gift. Everyone has their own.

  4. Screamingdk says:

    WHAT A SILLY RACIST COMMENT.

  5. AimBiZ says:

Great to know that I’m not the only one who think that. For me the whole “talent” thing is rather a state of mind than something you’re born with.

  6. DianeOzdamar says:

Aww thank you :) Though I don’t believe in talent but hard work with passion, patience and practise (that’s what I’m used to call the “3Ps”)

  8. Strezlecky says:

No, you really must be the most amazing artist in the history of the Earth. And a student? Damn… when you’re a teacher you’re going to kill people with envy ;)

  9. DianeOzdamar says:

Aww, thank you so much! Though I’m not that great, there are plenty amazing artists all over the world. I’m still a student and I guess I’ll learn things during my whole life…
    Thank you very much!

    you are simply an idiot

  11. Strezlecky says:

Since I’ve been watching all of these and studying them in detail, you might like to know that you’re the most amazing artist I have ever encountered. My dA buddy Cannibal-Kabiki and I have held a whole conversation about how brilliant you are ;) We’ve decided it’d take us about 3 years to do something as great as this. Maybe a bit more… Keep up the fantastic work!
