Can you help choose between two Video/Graphics Cards?
March 14, 2010 by: nickadmin1- Gigabyte nVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX 1 G.B
2- ATI Radeon HD4870 512MB PCIe Gigabyte
I’m NOT a GAMER i work with professional Graphics and adobe products.
And why do u think its better for me?
Of curse if any of you have any suggestions about a Video Card that is better than both and almost at the same price i will be happy to hear.
Thank u all

I have no experience with video cards but I do know that Geforce 9800GTX is a very good top of the line graphics card. I dont know much about ATI Radeon.
is number one a Gigabyte GeForce 9800 GTX+ 1GB Zalman? if so i know that its a pretty good choice and has custom cooling. but ether way i would go with number 1
I was looking into graphics cards too last week & from what i saw i’d go for the 4870. I think you should even consider the 4850, it got some great reviews on different sites for being best value for money. The 4870 uses GDDR5 memory which is ment to make it up to twice as fast as GDDR3.
I’ve referenced a link to an article that compares a number of different graphics cards. It is reasonably up to date, August 08. There is also a handy hierarchy of graphics cards on the final page of that article.
well if your not using these cards for gaming then u really should go for workstations graphics where they major in graphics quality and pixels. where these cards mainly work for speed(intense gaming). Graphically they are both the same but for speed the 4870 is more stable and doesn’t run as hot as the gtx. but seriously the cards u are looking at meant for pro graphics they are for speed i reconmend this site to get your desktop workstation graphics card
