Why is’nt my google earth ocean feature working?
March 12, 2010 by: nickadminI have seen all of the online videos of the amazing ocean feature on google earth 5.0. The videos include run throughs of google earth and you see all of the terrain and beautiful undersea life. When I go under the surface of the ocean with my google earth, all I see is a dark blue ground and occasionally a bump or two. It is nothing like the videos on the internet. Why cant I see anything interesting under the ocean? Is there something I have to do to turn It on?
The majority of google oceans is just terrain mapped by sonar so not much visual detail is there apart from the shape of the undersea terrain. You need to look in a portion of the world where more undersea mapping has been done.
